This Sunday, we return to the Sanctuary! We will read texts from the Prophet Jeremiah and the Apostle Paul, and we’ll consider how they speak to the “hidden child” or “inner child” within all of us. We also invite you to partake in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. We are an Open Table congregation, so know that you are welcome no matter your baptismal status or where you are on your faith journey. We hope you can join us in person and online to worship our loving Creator God.

The first week of Easter finds us with snow on the ground, but we know what lies beneath – new life breaking through cold ground and days “full of things that have never been.” We continue our walking theme even now in this Eastertide – especially now in this Eastertide! – as we celebrate the resurrected Christ. Join us this Sunday as we walk with the disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35) and see Christ anew in the breaking of the bread at the table. You can join us online or in person at 10am. Join us for Worship & Comunion This Sunday in teh Sanctuary or Online (February 4, 2024)

You may have heard of the seven corporal works of mercy found in Matthew 25: feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, shelter the homeless, clothe the naked, visit the sick, visit the imprisoned, and bury the dead. But, what if we also added giving and receiving the mercy of rest to Jesus’s list? In anticipation of our yearly Build-A-Bed event, we consider this question in this week’s worship service. Additionally, we will celebrate the Holy Sacrament of Communion by intinction. All are welcome to partake and participate. Following the service, we invite members to stay for our budget vote.

Join Us for Worship This Sunday in the Sanctuary at 10 or online (March 5, 2023)

We have a rich service on tap this Sunday as we welcome a child into the Christian fold through the sacrament of baptism, share in the sacrament of communion and light prayer candles for Lent. We’ll also reflect on Nicodemus coming to Jesus in the night and that most famous scripture of John 3:16. We hope you can join us in-person or on-line at 10am on Sunday. The first Sunday in February brings us back to the communion table and reflecting on how God speaks to us, how we listen, and how our own speech is impacted by that encounter. We are happy to welcome Jane Ring Frank back among us to lead the choir in song and she will be available for on-line exchanges for those joining us on our livestream. 10am on Sunday morning is the live worship experience either in person or online but you can also access our services after the fact at this link. We look forward to connecting one way or another.

Join Us in Ripley Chapel for Summer Worship at 10 am (August 7, 2021)

Join us this Sunday in Ripley Chapel or online at 10am for our weekly worship service. We have a rich morning on tap with Christine Tresselt doing a hybrid sermon/sitting yoga session with us, Nancy Kneiss and family leading the music, and the sharing of communion. It’s been lovely to be in our beautiful Ripley Chapel this summer and not as hot as you might think with fans going and windows open. We are still asking people to be masked and there are air purifiers in the space as well. We hope you will join us!

Join Us for Communion Worship This Sunday at 10 am in the Sanctuary (March 6, 2022)

Join us for worship for the first Sunday of Lent and Communion. We’ll be returning to our tradition of coming forward to light prayer candles while we sing “Jesus Remember Me”. For those watching the livestream we will encourage you to write in the YouTube comments, the names and prayers that you are lifting up and candles will be lit for you too. Also, we’ll be closing the two windows at the front of the church (leaving the chancel window open for the time being) so it promises to be a little warmer in the sanctuary. We hope to see you on Sunday for worship!

Join Us for Communion Worship This Sunday at 10 am (Sep 5, 2021)

Join us in-person in the sanctuary or on-line from wherever you are for our final summer service this weekend. Rev. Paul Rahmeier will be preaching on the greatest commandment and reminding us that “ALL God’s critters got a place in the choir!” We’ll also have communion with pre-packaged juice/wafer cups for those in the sanctuary and encourage remote participants to come to the service with their own elements.

This Sunday is our LAST (don’t tempt fate) – This Sunday is probably our LAST Zoom worship. As has been our habit, we gather for Communion on the first Sunday of the month in ‘person’. It’s, perhaps, fitting that we are reading from Exodus where the wandering in the wilderness is beginning to wear on the people. And they turn to Moses in complaint. As we are planning to gather in person next Sunday (August 8), God gives Moses a way to quiet the grumbling. In case you are grumbling about regathering too soon, or you’re away and planned on ‘watching’ worship, we are preparing for Live Streaming of services going forward. We who lead worship might be on a bit of learning curve but we’re committed to making ‘Hybrid’ worship work for everyone. Join us this Sunday at 10:00 a.m. and we can celebrate God’s goodness and partake of Christ’s supper together – on Zoom.
