Regardless of who lost and who won, we remember as people of faith that our work is never done in building for the Kingdom that is not OF this world but is certainly FOR this world. In keeping with the conversations of our Roots and Branches small groups, we’ll consider the Lords’ Prayer as presented in the Gospel of Matthew and look closely at what Jesus means by the coming Kingdom. It’s also the culmination of our Stewardship Drive – Open Doors to God’s Realm – and so we’ll offer an opportunity for those who feel so moved to offer their pledge cards to the church during our offertory time. We hope you will join us.

]]> 25167 Join Us for Pledge Sunday Worship (Nov 14, 2021) in the Sanctuary at 10 am https://fcc-winchester.com/latest-news/join-us-for-pledge-sunday-worship-nov-14-2021-in-the-sanctuary-at-10-am/ Fri, 12 Nov 2021 20:46:05 +0000 https://fcc-winchester.com/?p=16283 Worship this Sunday is the capstone to two weeks of significant worship services celebrating the breadth of our Congregation. This Sunday is Pledge Sunday when we hope to receive your pledge card for 2022. We will once again hear from a guest steward. The scripture this Sunday is Mark 13, the first 8 verses. Jesus is telling the disciples what to expect before the Kingdom of God exists on earth – and, boy, does it sound like something written about this moment in history. The choir will sing, again in a configuration that respects Covid-19 and is designed to allow their singing to lift us up. We will be live in the Sanctuary and also on livestream. Worship begins at 10:00 and we hope you will join us.
