Ruth Group is a monthly book group open to all women of the church and community. We are named after the Biblical Book of Ruth which is a story of women supporting each other. Ruth tells her mother-in-law, Naomi, “…Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay.” We go places with each other – through the books we read and discuss together and through the life experiences we share. We choose a variety of fiction and non-fiction books that we hope will encourage the expression of our own thoughts, deepen our bonds of friendship, stimulate our thinking, and provide us with different perspectives. Book Ends usually offers a discount on book group selections.
We meet once a month at someone’s home, generally on the third Sunday of the month from 7-9 PM. You are welcome whether or not you have read the book and new participants are always welcome. You can drift in and drift out as your motivation, interest and schedule permit. Decaf coffee & tea, and simple desserts are offered by the host. Check the church calendar for updates to dates, host homes and book titles. Contact this year’s co-coordinators, Maryann McCall-Taylor or Kaye Nash with questions, ride requests, etc.
