Dedications

reno Garden 2The Reno Garden at First Congregational Church in Winchester was created in 2011 to provide a beautiful place on church grounds for peaceful meditation and prayer as well as remembrance of loved ones. Dedications in the Garden are welcomed in the form of either a Gift or a Remembrance Brick and help support the long term care of the Garden.

Dedications are items from the Garden design such as trees and benches which can be purchased to honor someone or in memory of someone, or simply as a gift to the Garden. Each dedication is marked with a commemorative brick bearing an inscription as provided on the Agreement for Dedication or Monetary Gift form. The commemorative brick will be placed flat on the ground near the gifted item.

Remembrance Bricks

Remembrance Walk bricks are inscribed bricks bordering the Remembrance Walk – a path surrounding the labyrinth and leading to the Contemplative Garden. All Remembrance Walk bricks are the same size and will bear an inscription as provided on the Agreement for Remembrance Bricks in the Reno Garden form.

Monetary Gifts

We welcome monetary gifts in any amount at any time. The Garden Committee is happy to answer any questions and can be contacted through the church office.
