The upper level of the Garden features a labyrinth, which is a metaphor for the spiritual journey of life and leads us to the center of understanding and to God. Walking the labyrinth in meditation is a powerful tool for transformation. The stone circle around it is a grounding element marking the four compass points.
The Remembrance Walk, with trees and white flowering plants, circles the labyrinth and leads to the contemplative garden on the lower level. There, with the changing seasons, visitors can see paths for admiring the pond and fountain, benches for rest and reflection, gardens for the placement of cremated remains, and a Memory Bench. Like the churchyard of former times, the garden provides comfort to the bereaved by keeping the memory of loved ones alive in the place where they worshipped God and experienced the joy of a shared life in a community of faith.
