Sunday, Dec 19 at 10 AM

Make new Christmas memories this year at Christmas on the Common. Share in the love, hope, and joy of the Christmas story as the children stage an Outdoor Christmas Pageant during a community worship service on Sunday, December 19th at 10 AM on the town common.

While we listen to the story of Jesus’s birth and sing carols together, children of all ages will take their places at the manger to create our very own live nativity scene. For example, during the singing of “Away in the Manger” the animals will gather in our simple stable, and will remain there until the end of the pageant. As the pageant concludes, the children will rejoin their families in the congregation to sing the final song.

In an effort to simplify and focus on what is truly important this Advent season, this will be a no-rehearsal pageant so please bring your children to the service dressed as their role or arrive early to borrow a costume, beginning at 9:30 AM in Chidley Hall. Remember we will be outside for the service (unless there is rain or ice) so dress warmly and don’t forget gloves and hats. We will have hot drinks and hand warmers available before and after the service but we don’t want our actors to be chilly.

To participate, please sign up for one of the many roles available using the registration below. Walk on angels, shepherds, and animals are also welcome.

If you have any questions, please contact Maggie Keeler.
