Join Us for Mother’s Day in the Sanctuary for Worship

This Sunday is Mother’s Day and the 6th Sunday of Eastertide. In the Book of Acts Paul stands atop the Areopagus and speaks to the Greeks in Athens about their “altar to an unknown god” explaining this god is the true God and made known in Jesus Christ. It’s an odd story told amidst the mythologies, philosophies, and idols of that time and place and elicits many responses. In certain ways the story is still odd amidst the mythologies, philosophies and idols of our own time and place. How does this true story speak to the true story of our lives and reveal to us a God who mothers us with love?
