Join Us for Worship This Sunday (November 26, 2023)
This is one of those less common years when we have a Sunday Between Thanksgiving and the start of Advent. So we are not approaching the first Sunday of Advent quite yet. First we have this worship service Sunday, Nov 26, that the Christian world calls Christ the King… or a more inclusive phrase… “Reign of Christ” Sunday. We usually consider scriptures on this particular Sunday that occur at the end of the story of Jesus, around his Passion, to remind us of where the beginning we begin at Advent is going in the end. Got it? This Sunday is also special because we will be Installing Rev. Maeve Hammond as our Associate Pastor. An installation is the covenanting moment between an ordained pastor and her congregation. Yes, we’ve been in relationship for over a year, but now that Rev. Maeve is Ordained and we have voted to have her as the Associate Pastor of our church it is time to Install her as such. We hope you’ll join us at 10am in person or online!
