This Sunday is Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week. We’ll begin with an ecumenical gathering out on the Town Common at 9:30am to bless the palm branches with other congregations from our town. Then we’ll return to our sanctuary for a service of worship that opens in the celebratory mood of Jesus entering Jerusalem to shouts of “hosanna” and palm branches waving and gradually moves into the more contemplative place of preparing for his passion and death. Rev. Will will preach on Jesus’ trail before Pilate in the Gospel of John 18:28-40 and we’ll have our final Service of Prayer when we come forward to light prayer candles. We hope you can join us for this special service and that it will deepen your journey through Holy Week to Easter.
