  • Music Opportunities This Fall

It is hard to believe that the lazy days of summer are drawing to a close. I am very excited to begin my seventeenth year at the church, and I look forward to another year of collaboration with the choir, Carilloneers, children, ministerial team and congregation of this thriving community.

We have had a rich summer of worship and music at the church, and I want to thank all the volunteers who have collaborated with Todd Gordon, our summer staff musician. So many of you generously share your time and talents, and it is a true gift. Thank you.

We have many opportunities for making and sharing music, and I invite you to join us in these fun, spirited, moving, challenging, (did I say fun?) and prayer-filled endeavors. Senior Choir, Carilloneers, special music, youth. We have a great deal of new music, standard repertoire, gospel, jazz and old favorites ready to go.

The CARILLONEERS continue to ring with joy and abandon, and it is my pleasure to announce that Jeffrey Mead will be conducting the bell choir this year! He is excited to embark on this new challenge with this loving and talented group. If you are interested in ringing the gleaming handbells, feel free to contact Jeffrey for information and scheduling. The group meets on Monday evenings, and the schedule is fluid and accommodating!

Senior Choir Rehearsals begin this week on Thursday evening, September 5, 2019, 7:30 p.m. in the Tucker Room. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail or by telephone: (857) 919-0983. Remember – you can also leave a message for me at the church.

I can’t wait to see you and wish you blessings as we re-gather in God’s name for another exciting church year.
