Palm Sunday
Holy Week Begins

Holy Week kicks off this Sunday with a Palm Sunday service of celebration and preparation. We’ll begin with a blessing of the Palms out on the Town Common at 9:30 am and then walk together up the stairs with palm branches into the sanctuary for the 10 am start of the service (if it’s raining – and it promises to be! – we’ll meet in the sanctuary instead). The choir will offer a rousing “Hosanna, Loud Hosanna”, Rev. Will will reflect on Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem based on Luke’s version of the story, we’ll have one more opportunity to light prayer candles in this season of Lent, and we’ll again shroud the cross at the end of the service to prepare the space for Holy Week, our Maundy Thursday service, and the Good Friday Vigil to come. As usual, our service will be live-streamed for those who would like to attend remotely and all services can be viewed at a later date as well.
