Seeking Leadership Team Nominations
First Congregational Church’s Leadership Team is the strategic decision-making body of our church community which is charged with the task of ensuring the achievement of the mission and purpose of the church on behalf of the wider congregation. In our congregational church, the Leadership Team is made up of lay members who are invested in the care and flourishing of our church. As our by-laws indicate, there are 6 lay members who serve on the Leadership Team along with a Moderator, Scribe, Treasurer and the Ministry Team. Each of the 6 members serve a 3-year term and each year as two members roll off of the team, the Nominations Committee elect two new members. We are therefore seeking nominations (including self-nominations) of church members to serve on the Leadership Team for the coming three years.
We work hard to put together a diverse, committed, thoughtful group of church member volunteers to help lead the church. If you have someone you believe would be a good addition to the team or you yourself would be interested in this important and engaging role please contact Rev. Will Burhans at william.burhans@gmail.com. Please be aware that not all volunteers or suggestions can be chosen. The nominating committee is looking for two new members who will help create a well-balanced group to lead for the next few years.
