  • “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” Screening

    Sunday, February 10, 4 – 6 PM

If you didn’t catch this popular, poignant 2018 documentary about Fred Rogers and his long-running show, Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood, another chance is coming soon!   Join the Adult Faith Exploration Ministry on February 10th from 4 to 6 PM in the Tucker Room for a screening of the 94-minute film, with a short discussion period afterwards.

Using clips from the show and interviews with his family, colleagues, and friends, the movie brings across Rogers’ great love and compassion for young children, and how masterfully he used his simple, imaginative program to teach and inspire them. There is also an excerpt from his riveting 1969 testimony before the U.S. Senate, defending PBS and especially children’s programming.

Please note that this is not a children’s movie.  Adults of all ages will almost certainly find it interesting and moving.
