“Shout out; do not hold back! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Loose the chains of injustice!” (Isa. 58:1,6). God calls us in Scripture to boldly work together and make the world a more equitable and loving place. One of the ways that we can do just that is by lifting our voices and voting for policies that we believe are aligned with God’s desires and purposes for us. When people of faith bring their values to the public square, voting becomes a profound act of loving one’s neighbor. Voting is also one of the most potent means of non-violent activism.
On Sunday, October 6 during hospitality hour, the new Justice Ministry invites you to our first Non-partisan Voter Drive. Get out the vote by sending non-partisan postcards to potential voters across the United States. Why postcards? Writing postcards encourages and even mobilizes folks to vote (who otherwise may not). It will only take a couple of minutes to write a card and make a difference!
