Advent Study – The O Antiphons!
Tuesday Evenings of Advent at 7pm in Ripley Chapel

We are meeting in Ripley Chapel on Tuesday evening to consider the O Antiphons, the ancient Christian practice of intoning titles for Christ as a way of stoking our desire for his coming. This Tuesday we’ll be considering O Adonai and O Root of Jesse and how they arise out of Old Testament prophecies and New Testament witnesses. The various versions of “O Come O Come Emmanuel” that we listen to at the start of each class are worth the price of admission alone!Tags: music, O antiphon
