Worship this Sunday, the 4th Sunday of Advent This Sunday is the last Sunday in Advent, the waiting and the preparation for the birth of Christ are almost over. We’re singing a couple of Christmas Carols and lighting the Advent Candle of Love. The Scripture is Matthew 1:18-25 and the Isaiah citation that is included therein. The sermon will focus on the meaning of Jesus’ name and the nature of his gift to us. The choir continues under Jeffrey’s capable direction and it’s great to have Jane in the pews. One highlight this Sunday is Johanna Kepler, Jane’s Goddaughter, who is an interpretative dancer will be setting the tone for our post sermon reflection in dancing to a lovely rendition of The First Noel. The Sanctuary will be fully decked out with Poinsettias and the youth will be offering cookies for sale in the Cookie Walk at coffee hour. We hope that you will join us, 10 am Sunday.
