November 1 Ripley Update
We are about halfway through the bidding phase. On October 16 we issued our invitation to bid to seven general contractors. Construction documents were emailed out. We held our contractors’ walk through on the 24th and it appears that four are likely to submit bids. On November 16 bids are due. The Ripley Chapel Working Group, with assistance from our architect David Torrey, will then analyze the bids and make a choice. There will be information sessions and a special congregational meeting to hear the results and a vote will be considered to proceed to sign with the recommended contractor. Announcements about these sessions will be made soon.The bid documents are available for inspection in Ripley Chapel; the architectural plans are pasted to the wall.
