I am serving my last month on the grand jury. Our last day of hearing cases is June 27. Things are going smoothly in the office. People often ask me how I do it all and in truth it’s not all done by one person.
For the last two months, Anne Hoenicke has been creating these weekly emails and helping with the Calendar management. Michelle Crawford has been covering the office and designing the bulletins on my court days and beautifully organizing my workflow for me when I come in. Christine Atkins still comes in to print and collate the bulletins on Fridays. Robin Delurey has been doing the Accounts Payable with only a five minute training session. She’s that skilled! Nancy Kneiss does her design magic with the website, Spire, and PR team. Bruce Lauterwasser, our treasurer, has been doing a lot more since our bookkeeper, Clarinda, left and is helping to fill in the cracks if any pop up. Ed is helping with renters, even though he doesn’t have Tyler anymore.
It really is an amazing community that runs this church, especially in such a pinch! We did this all ourselves without needing to hire a temporary worker (which is expensive and hard to train for our unique needs). The leadership of Liz Sayre and Will Burhans has been instrumental in this crisis aversion. While this has been a learning experience and some mistakes were made, overall we are all wonderful, helpful ad-Ministers to the World. Thank you for your prayers, concern, and patience during this period.
