Repair Cafe

The Town of Winchester held its first Repair Café last September. Begun as a movement in the Netherlands, the goal of Repair Café is to encourage folks to repair and reuse items (such as clothing, furniture, tools, appliances, bikes, toys, etc) rather than throw them away. After the event was held, the response was so overwhelmingly positive everyone asked when the next one would be.
Our next
Repair Café will be held on Saturday, March 5th, 2022 from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm in Chidley Hall. Our volunteers had a great time too and are ready for new challenges. We will add a Spring Bike Tune-up for small children’s bikes; simple safety overview checking tires, brakes, etc. We would love to have more children’s toys to repair too, these things sometimes need a small fix to have a whole new life.
