Please join us for an ALL AGES Health Ministry Event:
A Guided Sensory Walk in Nature

    Sunday, October 21st, 2:00pm – 3:15pm Wright-Locke Farm
(Weather permitting- Rain Date November 4th)

Take an hour as a family to slow down and experience the calming, restorative effects of a sensory walk in nature. Adults and family groups will be guided in an introduction to Mindfulness in Nature also called Forest Bathing. This entails slow walking and some seated experiences using all of our senses to emerge connected and focused. We will start and end together at the Wright-Locke Farm parking area off of Ridge Street in Winchester. We will then split into two groups: the young families with kids being led in an age-appropriate version of a sensory walk by Mrs. Jackie Dee and the adults led by Health Ministry member, Branda Wilhoite. Please come prepared for forest trail walking with sturdy shoes, bug spray, water, and a snack for the kids. This is not your usual hike! The trail is relatively flat and we will cover a short distance at a slow pace with many breaks. For questions please contact Branda Wilhoite.
