On Wednesday, January 6th, we turn our focus away from presents we receive and towards presents for the Christ Child. Epiphany, means showing, an illuminating discovery, and coincides with the arrival of the Three Wise Men at the manger. Our celebration will include three familiar songs/hymns which tell the story. We’ll start with the 12 days of Christmas (January 6th is 12 days after Christmas); then we will join the wise men in following the Star in the east; and we will settle beside the manger and receive the gift of the little drummer boy. This service provides lots of opportunities for participation from those who attend. The service begins at 5:00 and ends around 6:00. It is a wonderful way to close this season with the focus on Christ, beyond the tree and tinsel.
