Ingredients needed for Outdoor Church in April

The Outdoor Church is a ministry to the men and women who call the streets of Cambridge home. The Outdoor Church provides spiritual and physical sustenance. On the fifth Sunday of the month, the First Congregational Church helps to provide both. We have walkers this month – the youth are representing us. We need the ingredients for lunch – sandwich ingredients and other items.
Our tradition is to make the sandwiches in the kitchen after the Sunday service using ingredients donated by the congregation. Two to five members of the congregation volunteer to deliver the food and to spend a few hours with the clergy of the Outdoor Church following a route around Harvard and Central Squares offering it to those who are hungry. There are some people who are ongoing members of the Outdoor Church and some we will only see once or twice. This sign up is to gather the ingredients needed. Ingredients can be delivered to the church and placed in the kitchen the week prior to the 29th.
