On March 29 many local people of faith met at the Parish of the Epiphany to discuss Refugee concerns and Interfaith Relations. As part of our getting to know one another, Fehmida Chipty, a member of the Muslim community offered to create an opportunity for us to work together in service. Through her community, she arranged for us to prep and serve dinner at Rosie’s Place on June 11. Along with her and her family (who will most likely be fasting that day, for Ramadan) representatives from Shir Tikvah, Ephiphany, the Unitarian Society and our church will be serving. We’d like to have 3 people from each community. Are there 2 of you out there willing to join me and your neighbors that Sunday afternoon? Work begins at 3:00 p.m. sharp and usually ends about 5:30 p.m. If you are interested let me know.
