In many ways this Sunday seems like the most ordinary of Worship Services, but in one way it marks a big transition in our Worship life. This Sunday is Transfiguration Sunday – the last Sunday before Lent, Holy Week and Easter. A mist of our Jewish roots floats through it. The Choir will sing a Hebrew Blessing, as will we in our closing hymn. The Hebrew Scripture text is foundational – Moses ascending the mountain to meet with God. The New Testament is Jesus ascending a mountain where he (and maybe we) will be transfigured. Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. and we hope you will join us.
