This year we will be heading to Alabama to with with Alabama Rural Ministry. While there, the youth will be helping to fix houses for veterans and the elderly who are on a fixed income and can not afford to make the repairs. The deadline to sign up is December 31st. I know it does not give you too much time but because we are flying in to Birmingham we need to purchase plane tickets. The cost as it stands now is $500. We will be doing a fundraiser in January (TBD) and will be asking the congregation to “sponsor” different parts of the trip. We are looking for 1-2 more chaperones. As stated above there is no cost for the chaperone. Please let me know if you would be interested!. For more information, please reach out to me.
The cost includes:
This year we will be doing our first Middle School Mission Trip. We will be heading to The Philadephia Project . Last year the High School students went here and we all had a great experience. I have been in contact with TPP over the past couple months and they often have Middle School groups. In September they actually had a group of 70 5th graders. While there, we will be making repairs on houses of the elderly and helping to run an after school program for younger children. We plan on leaving early Monday morning and get back after dinner on Friday. There will be a fundraiser in January (TBD) and we will also be asking the congregation to sponsor different parts of the trip. The cost per student is $250. The deadline to sign up is 3/1Depending on the amount of Middle Schoolers that sign up we will need 2-3 chaperones, one of which must be a woman. Please prayerfully consider being a part of a trip that can change lives. On January 29th at 6 PM I invite anyone (both parents and students) to join us for an informative meeting where I will give you more details and be able to answer any questions. I want this trip to be successful. In the Middle School Sunday School class they have shown much interest in doing mission work. We will also have a meeting in March with all the families of the students going.
*As a friendly reminder that we don’t want anyone to miss out on any of the following opportunities because of the cost. If anyone needs some assistance please reach out to Ben Pulaski privately.
