We are planning to “yarn bomb” a homeless neighborhood this January with handmade hats, gloves and scarves. You can help! We need knitters and/or crocheters to make adult-size hats, scarves and mittens which we will hang from trees and fences. You can use any pattern you like, and the only rule is that the yarn be washable.
Knitting for the homeless is a great use of quarantine time and can be very relaxing/meditative. If you or someone you know would like to help, please reach out to Carole Cooke
, Karen Lauterwasser
, Lisa Loughlin
, or Maryann McCall-Taylor
. We’d be happy to suggest yarns and patterns, or provide Zoom knitting help for those whose knitting needles are a bit rusty.
