This Sunday we have a cool Jazz worship service on tap for our 3rd Sunday in our groovy Reformation series. Not only will we be swinging to the sound of drums, double bass, piano and horn but we will be vamping on a baptism for Edvard Ellingsen and Rev. Will will augment (and hopefully not diminish!) our understanding of the most prominent Reformation theme – “saved by grace through faith”. We’ll fuse some older hymns with some newer jazz music. Rev. Judy will lead us in one of her beautifully improvised pastoral prayers. The children per usual will begin with us to enjoy some of the Jazz and then will side-slip out to their classes to jam with their dynamic Stepping Stones teachers. And all this for worship and praise of the God of peace, love and music!
